As a junior, Mena was the heartbeat of a Javelina squad that came within one single point of the State Tournament. Averaging over 5 assists and 6 rebounds, he proved he could control the tempo of a game and elevate his teammates under the brightest lights of the UIL postseason.

Returning for his final year, Mena took on a massive scoring load to lead Crystal City to a dominant 24-6 record. He finished the season as the #1 three-point shooter in Texas 3A (and #17 in the nation) with over 127 triples, proving that his range is truly limitless.

Off the court, Mena is a 4.0 GPA student-athlete and a multi-sport star (Varsity Football QB and Baseball). That "Quarterback Vision" translates directly to the hardwood, where he acts as a coach-on-the-floor, managing clock, spacing, and defensive assignments with veteran poise.
