Hello, how is everyone doing this week? We are fresh off the Super Bowl! What a win for the Kansas City Chiefs! The Super Bowl has always interested people from all types of backgrounds because of the game, the stars, and the commercials! The commercials also mean the marketing aspect of the Super Bowl. So, fans in a certain way are very attracted to the marketing. It’s incredible how the NFL along with major businesses have found a way to keep people glued to the tv during a commercial break! Some people watch the Superbowl just for the commercials alone.

Superbowl 58 brings the views!

However, we are at the dawn of a new era. The era of short form social media and the dawn of the super creator! Social media influencers and creators are now garnering views that can rival the viewership of the Superbowl in just one post! Did you consider promoting your business during the Superbowl on social media? This would have been an incredible bargain of a buy to put your business directly into the spotlight as more and more users are checking their phones during games! Don’t believe me? Consider the NFL namely through CBS created a special unit named the “CBS Sports Creator Studio.” CBS through their own research discovered an uptick in users checking their phones during the game.

John Bogusz, executive VP of sports for Paramount advertising explains “impressions are growing, people are following the events on their phones, and we can offer that to advertisers to tie in more with their campaigns with our events.” In order to make sure advertisers and sponsors were getting the most out their deals CBS is making sure they have dedicated creators churning out content during the game.

The point is as a business owner or someone building their own personal brand you need to be looking at opportunities such as the Super Bowl or major local events in your area to take advantage of the uptick in viewership that these events bring on social media even if you’re not physically there. Consider bringing in local creators or influencers to give your business a shout out or boost during these events. The Spring season is going to provide plenty of opportunities for these types of collaborations. This is a cost-efficient way of getting eyes on your business for an extremely discounted price! But this type of opportunity won’t last forever as larger companies will allocate bigger budgets to these areas of social media over the next two to three years!
